Sunday Night Reflections - December 21, 2008
 – 12/28/08
It’s been a non-stop weekend.  We met with our elders and their wives Friday night for a Christmas fellowship.  It was a wonderful time of fellowship.  I am so grateful for these men and their commitment to Christ and... (More) (RSS Feed)

What is the Cost of Christmas?
 – 12/12/08
(The following was written by Mary Ann Thomson...)   How much does Christmas cost? I was looking at the ads in the Sunday paper. I saw that some game systems are well over $200. And if you add in the... (More) (RSS Feed)

Fill This House With Your Glory
 – 01/04/09
When we ask God to fill this house with His glory, what are we asking for? (Podcast) (RSS Feed)
Sunday Night Reflections
  • “How beautiful You are, How merciful You are, How glorious you are…”  Wow!  What worship!  Thanks Allen and team for a great day of encountering God in worship.

  • It’s encouraging to hear of the testimonies of people who are drawing near to a more intimate experience with Christ.  Remember, all your longings are longings for HIM!

  • Let me give a shout out to our preschool and children’s workers.  We were a little short-handed due to illness, but you guys got all the bases covered.  I’m so proud of you.  I’m also proud of those of you who are thinking/praying about giving some help in our kids and preschool ministry.  You’ll be a great addition to the team.

  • I was so blessed by Scott Womack and his leadership in communion today.  In case you didn’t know, Scott is one of our elders.  We’ll be having more elder-led communion in the future.  And I absolutely LOVED the “August Rush meets John Newton” reference:

August:  “I just want to be found.”
Newton:  “I once was lost, but now I’m found.”
    Praise God!

  • We’re working to create a tighter, better-flowing worship experience.  Here’s what you can do to help – read the bulletin, the emails, and the ppt. screen for important information and announcements.

  • I absolutely love the gang that serves so joyfully at the Nfusion Coffee Shop.  Ed and Dona have a great thing going, and I am greatly blessed by every volunteer.  Come early next Sunday and enjoy a little foyer hang-out time.

  • While you’re at it, check out the library.  It’s small, but loaded with resources for your reading/watching enjoyment.

  • This morning I said that David found five things to do when God seemed far away:  (1) Tell God exactly how you feel, (2) Remember what God has done for you in the past, (3) Sing! (4) Pray, and (5) Praise.  I just had a cool thought (must be God) – Why not do that however close or far away you feel the Lord is?  It works either way.
